Travel Bag Necessities | Eric Bandholz

—Eric Bandholz

I'm out in Los Angeles, and doing a little bit of YouTubing. While traveling I figured I might as well show y'all what I take with me, some tips I've learned and maybe how you can implement your travel routine.

I've found the best thing for me is to simply keep two items of everything. One for home and one for your travel bag. That way you won't have to dive down into your bathroom right before your flight to get everything you need. The costs for these products aren't too high and the convenience alone is worth the added cost of carrying two products.

From there, I try to keep things pretty simple. Instead of a shampoo, conditioner, and soap I bring a a utility bar which can function as all three. I keep my styling products to a minimum and go with one that is pretty versatile. Of course I keep my beard grooming products with me and even have a couple of test products on occasion. I travel with scissors, mostly because I have an endless supply of them and don't mind losing a pair to TSA. That being said, if you do travel with scissors expect TSA to not know the rules and take them from you even if you are within regulation.

With the dopp bag you'll want to make sure the inside lining is waterproof or water resistant. This will help protect you from any of the products having a leak, which is pretty common when traveling.
