Four (Apparently) New Beard Trends For 2016

It’s officially 2016, and that means gyms are inundated with new members determined to make this the year they get fit, and TMZ is counting down the most life-changing tweets from Kylie Jenner in 2015. It also means that style guides are going to start flooding your newsfeeds telling you what’s going to be hot in 2016, and you can rest assured that beard fashions are at the top of that style list.

Cheatsheet.com is here with four “new beard trends” that you just HAVE to try in 2016. Problem is they aren’t new. And they aren’t trends. But it is 2016, so they got that part right at least. But hey, maybe these beards styles are new to you, so let’s dive in and get critical.

1. The Shorter Longer Beard

It’s not a Gandalf long, and it’s not Jason Statham short. It’s just….a medium length beard. It’s the shorter longer beard. Groundbreaking stuff, guys.

2. The Heavy Stubble

This actually is Jason Statham short. And because you can picture exactly what that looks like without any visual, it’s safe to say this isn’t a new trend either.

3. Long Hair And Beards

This just in – guys are growing beards and long hair. I wonder if this one will catch on this year.

4. The Van Dyke

You’ve seen it before – a goatee with the mustache and chin hair disconnected. Some guys can rock it. Some just look like Bond villains. Grow it at your own risk.
