We know we've developed the best Beard Wash & Beard Softener around – this stuff was designed from the ground up specifically for beards. They’re a perfect pair! The Beard Wash has a very gentle lather that is soft enough for your face and tough enough to handle curly, coarse beard hair. The Beard Softener, like the Beard Wash, is a silicone free product that won't build up over time. We recommend applying the Beard Wash once or twice a week, but you can use it daily if you are in environments where your beard gets dirty regularly.
A great advantage of Beardbrand's Beard Washes & Beard Softeners are that they are designed to match the fragrance line of any other products we carry. You'll save if you buy these as a package, rather than individually and we know you'll love them.
Breathe deep - that's the smell of Old Money. With notes of aged oak, black pepper, and amber, this is a rich and complex scent that evolves as it's worn throughout the day, and is our most potent scent blend. It's a fragrance that is at home surrounded by rich mahogany, your favorite worn leather chair, a glass of whiskey, and a cigar.
Beard Wash: Squeeze a dime-sized amount of Beard Wash into your hands, rub them together, and apply to a wet or damp beard. Massage the wash down to the skin and roots of your beard, then work towards the ends. After a lather has been created, rinse the wash from your beard. We recommend washing your beard a few times a week, but if you work or live in environments where you sweat regularly, get dirty, or just feel you need some extra washes, use more often. Follow up with Beard Softener to keep your beard soft and manageable.
Beard Softener: After cleansing your beard with Beard Wash, squeeze a dime-sized amount of Beard Softener into your hands, rub them together, and apply to a wet or damp beard. Focus the softener on the ends of your beard and allow it to soak for one to two minutes. Or, for a deeper conditioning, liberally apply the softener to your beard and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Then, rinse the softener out and pat your beard dry. We recommend using softener a few times a week, but it can be used daily to gradually moisturize and soften your beard.
Using Beard Softener as a Leave-In Conditioner: If your beard feels extra dry, Beard Softener can be used as a leave-in conditioner. Apply a small amount Beard Softener to a damp beard and leave it in throughout the day or overnight. This will allow it to penetrate the hair shaft and provide additional moisture to the dry beard hairs. Rinse the remaining softener from your beard in the evening or the next day. Finish with Beard Oil or Utility Balm to continue providing moisture to your beard.

The scent or nose on the shampoo doesn't really smell like old money. Would probably go with the silver line for the shampoo next time to save a few bucks. The conditioner however does hold the old money scent nicely but I'm not sure its worth the price for the gold line in wash department.
I buy Beardbrand products for the smell, and I'm willing to pay a premium for that. In the case of the beardwash and softener, the Old Money scent doesn't really stand out above the scent of the soap, nor does it linger. I also find that the softener doesn't do much. Cheaper brands that do as good a job in the wash dept make more sense for this application.
Old Money is the best scent in beard care products. The wash and softener are amazing as is the oil there is hardly words to describe it it’s just simply amazing, is it expensive yeah but everything of any quality normally is and you’re a man you work hard why settle for less treat yourself to the best!
The scent isn't quite right With the wash....love the softener. Great smell and you can tell you used it.
I know it’s not cheap, but this stuff is real quality. It smells divine, it makes my beard super soft, and it’s also tamed the itchy skin underneath. I usually apply in the shower before bed, followed by a generous helping of utility balm, and the next morning my beard is tamed and wonderful and I’m ready to face the day. It smells so good that my girlfriend can’t get enough of it. I’m getting more snuggles than ever.
