After more than a year of development, Beardbrand perfected the finest Beard Softener around. This stuff was designed from the ground up specifically for beards. Like our Beard Wash, this amazing product is silicone, sulfate and paraben free. It was designed to be similar to a hair conditioner to gradually soften facial hair over time. We recommend applying Beard Softener once or twice a week, but it can be used daily if needed. Use Beard Softener after cleansing with Beard Wash in the matching scent; Beardbrand's Softeners are designed to match the fragrance line of complimentary products.
A great advantage of Beardbrand's washes is that they are designed to match the fragrance line of any other products we carry. If you need both the wash & softener, then check out the kit here.
Spiced Citrus is a scent with universal appeal that's warm and complex. The unique blend of clove, vanilla, and spices works in harmony to build the perfect aroma. Think of the warm and comforting fragrance of the holidays at home, all year round.
After cleansing your beard with Beard Wash, squeeze a dime-sized amount of Beard Softener into your hands, rub them together, and apply to a wet or damp beard. Focus the softener on the ends of your beard and allow it to soak for one to two minutes. Or, for a deeper conditioning, liberally apply the softener to your beard and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Then, rinse the softener out and pat your beard dry. We recommend using softener a few times a week, but it can be used daily to gradually moisturize and soften your beard.
Using Beard Softener as a Leave-In Conditioner: If your beard feels extra dry, Beard Softener can be used as a leave-in conditioner. Apply a small amount Beard Softener to a damp beard and leave it in throughout the day or overnight. This will allow it to penetrate the hair shaft and provide additional moisture to the dry beard hairs. Rinse the remaining softener from your beard in the evening or the next day. Finish with Beard Oil or Utility Balm to continue providing moisture to your beard.

Bought the styling and beard softener in this scent and absolutely love it!!! This is the smell is killer!! I’ve noticed a HUGE change in my beard so far. Do y’all offer a bigger bottle that would be awesome!
The beard softener works like a charm and a little dab will do ya. I am, however, not a great fan of cloves and yes, the scent is pretty strong in this one. My bad for not reading the ingredients closely, only looking at the name, "Spicy Citrus" and my eyes pretty much only registering the, "Citrus" part. I would have given the product full stars if it actually would have had a pronounced citrus part instead of the cloves smell (which is the strongest smell for me). More descriptive name would be something like, Spicy Cloves" or the like. Anyway, apart from me not liking cloves, the product is good so if you like cloves, go for it.
It did make my beards feel softer but I really don't like that smell to woodsy to something the wife didn't like it either
Love the smell!
