Brad Kingett

Who I Am.

My name is Brad Kingett. I work as a full-time photographer.

Where I Live.

I split my time between south New Jersey (where I live) and my studio in Philadelphia.

What I Do.

I’m probably much more than “what I do.” I mean, cards on the table, I can’t think of anything right now, but I’m sure I have some deeper philosophical purpose in the universe. Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking. Maybe life is just a meaningless flash of light sandwiched between to eternal pits of nothingness. I just don’t know anymore. But in addition to being a full-time photographer, my hobbies include illustration, film making and pigeon watching. I like other birds too, but pigeons are at the top of that avian obsession list.

Why I Beard.

I started growing my first beard after high school. It didn’t go great. So I shaved it off and started again. I did this a few times until one day I woke up and realized that I was no longer an immature patchy faced youth, but an immature bearded youth. Basically, I was able to grow a full beard and I decided I liked it and wanted to keep growing it. I assume it’s the same way girls feel when they wake up and realize they have developed. So, anyways, what was the question? Oh, yeah I joined the Philadelphia Beard and Mustache Club a few years ago. It’s a relatively despicable excuse for organization with a grotesque group of degenerates, but it’s a good time as far as killing time is concerned. I’ve never gotten to talk this long on the record without saying something that makes me sound too moronic, so I’m going to stop while I’m ahead.
